Our Commitment
Our Commitment to Faithful and Transparent Use of AI
Last updated July 2026
We recognize that many people have understandable questions about the role of artificial intelligence in Christian ministry. AI is a powerful tool, and like any tool, it can be used wisely or unwisely, faithfully or manipulatively. Because of this, we want to be clear about how we use AI and the commitments that guide us.
Our content is not built on AI
Our content is built on the Word of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the prayerful discernment of Christian leaders who desire to serve the Church with integrity. AI may assist us in research, organization, editing, communication, production, and presentation, but it does not determine our theology, replace biblical authority, or substitute for the work of the Holy Spirit.
The foundation is Jesus Christ
The foundation of our teaching is Jesus Christ. As Paul wrote, “No one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11). Every teaching resource, curriculum element, website message, and AI-assisted presentation is intended to be tested against Scripture, shaped by the gospel, and reviewed under human leadership.
Ministry conducted openly and honestly
We believe Christian ministry must be conducted openly and honestly. Paul could say to the Ephesian elders, “You yourselves know how I lived among you the whole time” and, “I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:18, 27). In that spirit, we do not want to hide our use of AI or present AI-generated work as something it is not. Where AI helps us create, organize, or deliver content, we want to say so plainly.
Three commitments that guide us
Our use of AI is guided by three commitments:
1. Biblical faithfulness
We seek to ensure that all teaching rests on a solid biblical foundation and remains faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ. AI is never treated as a source of spiritual authority. Scripture is our authority, Christ is our foundation, and the Holy Spirit is our guide.
2. Human oversight
AI-assisted content is reviewed, corrected, and approved by human leaders. We do not simply accept AI-generated material as trustworthy. We evaluate it carefully for theological accuracy, clarity, tone, and pastoral wisdom. We remain responsible for what we publish and teach.
3. Ethical transparency
We reject deceptive or manipulative uses of AI. We will not use AI to mislead people, manufacture false authority, exploit emotions, or obscure authorship. When AI is used to help create digital content, including an AI-assisted version of our founder, Ben Sawyer, our goal is not to deceive but to faithfully extend the teaching, values, and message entrusted to this ministry under responsible human direction.
Warned by Paul, guarded by grace
Paul warned against those who distort the gospel, manipulate others, or preach a message “contrary to the one” received from Christ (Galatians 1:6–9). He also defended his ministry against those who relied on appearance, self-promotion, and deception (2 Corinthians 11). We take those warnings seriously. Our desire is not to impress people with technology, but to serve people with truth.
Technology as servant, not master
We are grateful for the ways AI can help us communicate more clearly, work more efficiently, and make biblical resources more accessible. At the same time, we know that technology must remain a servant, never a master. Our commitment is to use AI in a way that honors God, respects people, protects trust, and keeps the gospel at the center.
Questions and accountability
We welcome thoughtful questions and accountability from our community. Our aim is to conduct this work with clean hands, clear speech, and a sincere desire to build on the foundation of Christ with materials that will endure.
